WHAT WE DO:

We create a unique learning
environment for all.

Our services:

  • One-on-one consultation with department/team/organization to discuss goals and objectives.

  • A survey will be designed and distributed to those participating in the program to assess their needs.

  • Focus groups are also available.

  • A personalized plan will be designed for your gender and sexuality education.

We work with teachers to develop grade-specific content that is gender inclusive and historically relevant.

  • We review existing documents and look for inequities.

  • We assist with developing gender-neutral and inclusive language.

Our focus areas:

Gender and Sex, and Sexuality

Using social science research and empirical evidence, FAoUC offers educational sessions and workshops that focus on up-to-date data while providing historical context. These sessions can include workshops on the roles of names, pronouns, and honorifics in certain settings like the classroom or office as well as interpersonal dynamics.

Anti-Oppression & Anti-Bias Training

Using academic research, FAoUC offers assessment and debriefing, as well as training sessions on how to reduce bias in educational settings, this does include anti-oppressive and reflective Practices.
